Thanks It was imported and sold as a 418 but am being told by some it looks more 191. Either way it is a stellar specimen and am pleased with it.

That's a very nice Royal, I still think its 418 ( look at the eyes)! Pretty dark tho, most 418 I've seen is lighter color, although your background is dark, maybe that's the reason why its dark.

Getting ready to move him and two other Panaques out of this blacked out tank into a one with a lighter substraight. So will find out if he lightens up and its base looks greener. I was told his eyes are to dull and base not green enough, thats why they think 191.

We will see how he it turns out with lighter substrate. I am 99 sure that its 418. what other panaques do you have?
