What do you guys know about these plecos? Specfically, what kind of habitat do they like and what would be a good price to pay for a 2" fish?

Well they are from the Tapajos, nice softish water, pH 6.5ish likes woody places, and then in general just like keeping most plecs happy... well oxygenated clean water. Carnivore. Price depends on where you are from, and don't know how much you guys would pay over there.
Hi, better to get one in enough size,i.e. 3-4 inches, as it would be easier to keep in your aqua..my personal opinion is, this L273 when small, they simply love to find a DW or a corner to hide the whole day. will only be active at night when the lights are totally out.
not a very active pleco. jus park there whole day. mine will not react even when food is placed in front of it.
i find it highly territorial. he marked his DW well and not even a L14 who is 2inch bigger than him can snatch his spot.

My LFS (Skipton's) has about 6 or 8 at $100 each for a 2" fish . . . I'm still debating . . .
