I know that mango pleco are not that aggressive to other bottom dwellers but what are they like with their own kind

Depends on the fish really. Some get along fine when others are terrors.

Usually if there's a lot if space and hiding spots there won't be issues unless you have one or a few that won't let others eat. Then you'd have to separate them.

I'm thinking about adding 2 to my ray pup tank to eat left over pellets will it work

I don't think they'll bother the pups but will the pups try to eat them?
If they do you might lose the pup(s) if the pleco gets stuck when it try's to swallow the pleco.
I'm just giving you a worse case senario just to prevent any horrible out come.
If this isn't possible I'd give it a try.

rays chew if they dont like the feel of something they mover on

the pups should be fine just wanted to confire l47 are very peaceful

The L47 is not a custodian to clean up after the rays. You will need to feed them some vegetable matter of some sort and provide some driftwood if you want them to thrive.
