L91 Three Beacon or L200 Green Phantom

Hey guys,

Been out of the game for about 2 years. Just moved to new suite and setup a nice new tank. I have the option of getting a 3 beacon or green phantom pleco, both around 3''.

I am having the hardest time trying to decide as my tank won't be big enough to house both when they get bigger.

Please help me decide! Is one hardier or easier to keep than the other?? more shy less shy etc??

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Feel free to post photos of your l91 or l200 plecs!
 
Since they are still both small and takes forever for them to grow, id buy both and decide as they get bigger. Never had l91 but hopefully will pick up two or 3 this weekend. I know my greens and blue phantoms come out whenever they smell food but easily get startled.

If you can't get both I'd get the L200. Small L91 will hide all the time until they are about 5" (at least 2 years from 3"). Also L200 gets better looking with size while L91 (IMO) is most striking at small to medium size when they have the greatest contrast (their dark brown lightens with age).

My L91 (dragon fin) is over 5" and it still hides. It's the biggest thing in the tank, but is scared of most things.
 
Charles, you are the guy I would be getting them from lol. I think L200 it is then. I will be contacting you soon!
