I cannot find any info on them. What do you guys know about them? My LFS has one and I'd like to get one in the near future when my tank is done cycling. Will be fine in a community tank? What does it eat? you know the drill lol. Thanks in advance guys!

from what I skimmed using google....

Labeo bogas: fin nippers worse than tiger barbs within 5 minutes of skimming articles in google as they seem to be in the same family as minnows/carps tho?

caution could be excerised in the community setup if they're worse than tiger barbs if that's true.

I agree.

I've only owned one and it was for only a 3 year period. Mine was very similar to Labeo bicolor in nature and not as aggressive as Labeo erythrurus.

However perhaps some individuals are a lot nastier.

I have one at the moment, about 10-11". Generally peaceful but gets very bullish at feeding times. Doesn't pick on anything smaller or bigger than itself, but gets into regular ding dongs with the similar sized fish (Bangana, Labeo barbatus, Labeo calbasu, stuff like that). I would agree that as tiddlers, they are rather fragile, as an adult, they become bullet proof pretty much. Eats anything and everything.

Thanks for that info mine never got that big so it's nice to know their nature when they get mature.
