Hey everyone, im new to the cichlid side of this forum so i may ask some "noob" questions..

Today i bought 3 labeotropheus trewavasae, one bright blue male and two of the orange blotched females, now i was told they are females but i see egg marks on there anal fins.. now the n00b questions.. Can females still have the egg marks on the tails? I just want to make sure i dont have 3 males of the same species... Also i know pics are going to be asked for so i will try and get some with my crappy blackberry camera..

Thanks!

females can have egg spots also. not none to have as many, or profound. But from my experience i have had female yellow lab with egg spots just like the male.

Males tend to be solid colors, or two. Females are ALMOST always OB. Do you know the location(color morph) they came from in the lake? I have 10 F1's at 1", and they are already showing some bars, some spotted(OB), and some plain(males).
