Labiatus Pair

Here are some videos and pics of my Labiatus pair. Had a hard time getting mom to come out of the pot. She was pretty tied up keeping the fry in a cloud.

This is by far the most interesting pair of fish I have spawned. The way the work together protecting the fry and their territory is very interesting.

At times they would actually take turns guarding the pot, she would appear to make runs out to gather up fry around the tank. He would instantly guard the opening to the pot until she came back, then he would patrol the perimeter of their nest. You can see his guarding skills in the one video as he bounces around the pot making sure no threat is around. Very neat fish to spawn!

You might see the fry, I will get some better pics or video once they start to get away from mom.

They're wild right? Did you get them from Jeff. I'm guessing they're WC because of their lips. Regardless they're a stunning pair with some great colors.

Thanks guys, yea their color is intense. I thought I would like the solid red/orange the most, my actual favorite is the dark orange with black. I think next time I can convince/sneak a purchase in I will get solid orange and black and try and get a pair out of them.
