I have been a member here for almost a years now.There are a lot of members here who are of great help,and are willing to pass on and share thier knowledge of this great hobby.Peanut Power comes to mind right away,but i have noticed in the last few weeks certain newer members(no names to be mentioned) attacking other new members for asking questions.Maybe that is how it is on thier past forums(arguing,attacking and belittling)but there is no need for it here on our great forum.In my opinion these people should be spoken to and dealt with.This is how some forums get ruined,now i understand people will always disagree,but it is how we handle these disagreements that is important.Calling some one "stupid" or anything else just cant be tolerated here.Whenever i have a problem with my fish or tanks i dont hesitate to come on line and ask you guys because 9 times out of 10 1 of you has alwaysed helped me.Sorry to vent,but i thought this needed to be brought up.Thanks.

If you ever have a problem or see an insult please feel free to press the little triangle botton on the lower left hand side of the offending post. This lets all the MODS know that a problem exists within the forum and we will try to fix it.

Im not sure what this pertains to--but i agree that we should play nice.. and remember we are here to help eachother and share what we know in a friendly and humane way! there is no need to be rude or belittle someone. we were all noobies at one time and didnt know the simplest things..
Just remember if someone is asking what you may think of as a "stupid" question--they are turning to everyone here because of their experience.. the seasoned fishkeepers should take it as a compliment..

I wasnt trying to start trouble,i have noticed this just recently and was kind of shocked,i just hate to see a trend start thats all.

Amen,i let someone make me go off and then couldnt believe i wasted my time.Things are so diferent in person,the net thing gets hard sometimes.Coming together constructively is what mfk is realy about and i hope everyone sees it that way and not a debate battle ground.Not that their isnt a thread just for that now and then.Ppl need to also respect others with more hands on than them.Know when to chill and when to chime in.You know?
