Laguna pump

So went on a pump hunt and want to know the difference. Tried to google if I can find it or not but can't. I have a laguna 2900 and the new ones for sale says laguna electronic. What's the difference between the new and old pumps??

It has an "integrated electronic circuit board that monitors pump performance"
