hi guys,this is one of my fav cats, in my country hes call lais tabiring,raja lais,sengarat,begahak,
scientific name is belodontichthys dinema
he's 8'', just like other cat hes nocturnal ,he eat shrimp

Very interesting cat, never heard or seen them before. How large do they get?

they can reach 100 cm or similar size in nature,he kind of rare cat even for indonesian hobiist like me,they lives in sumatra,borneo,thailand.

These are the first real pictures I think I have ever seen of them lol. I have always wondered what they looked like for real. You are the first keeper of one that I have seen for sure.

very cool cat they love strong current water and swim against the current,and when guppies come near,they strikes like wolfish.
but unlike another cat,i dont think they will eat something bigger than his mouth.
i give him shrimp ,guppies.

I was gonna say they remind me a lot of a flying fish. lol, do they jump a lot? Looks like they have that crosshair style vision where they can jump and eat food off branches.
 
A very uniquely beautiful fish, ty for shareing! are they generally schooling fish?
