Went out to Lake of the Woods yesterday up by our neighboring Canadians eh? :D Overall it was a pretty successful day really, especially considering I don't really do much ice fishing. These were my first walleyes through the ice in about 10+ years or so. Pics.

Nothing big, but perfect sized eaters.

This guy was the big fish of the day by far. We didn't get an accurate measurement because our only measuring tool only went to 16 inches. I'm guessing this guy was close to 30 inches. It took us a while to get him through the hole because he was hooked on both lines and both guys thought they had different fish... nope. They were fighting the same fish, and to an extent, each other. It was great fun though, even if that was the ugliest fish I'd ever seen!

ice fishing for pickeral is fun.

I've seen a few pickeral caught before, but never caught one myself.

I did get bit off by a pike early in the morning that day though.

we call walleye pickeral up here in canada lol eh!!

HAHa! My bad. I think I knew that but forgot. Yeah, it was a good time. Definitely worth the drive. It was really nice out too, like 37 degrees so even if we hadn't caught many, it was nice just to be outside that day.

Thats what I've been told as well. I just couldn't bring myself to eat that ugly sucker! Actually, if I get another chance I think I will keep one and fillet it up. I'll try it at least once. :D
