A low quality photo of the so called Lake Titicaca frog I took on my last vacation in Bolivia!!!

I think the skin folds typical of those species grow during the life
 
I wonder how the populations of this so interesting species are doing, last time I checked they were endangered:confused: Some should be brough into captivity as a insurance and (why not) introduced maybe to the pet trade, then we would see if they would get extinct;)

I asked some locals about how the frogs are doing. They said there is a lot of them, even the big ones. I`m coming back to Bolivia to study some fossils and I will meet a guy who researches those frogs and surelly I will ask him about the populations! Maybe the pet trade could be a solution!
That one I found under some rock wyle waiting a boat.

Their conservation could be fouded by the sale of some especimens costing a pretty penny
