Here's a few really bad pictures of some of the madagascars I'm currently working with. Hoping to have them to breeding size by this fall

cool, i went to old world and swam with the Lamena.
i got a video and pix, came out blurry because i was swimming with them and kicked up the sediment.
most of the fish pictures are with a old underwater camera.

Wow, thanks for the pics tr6. Looks like an awesome trip.

Cool.
The nourissati get vicious !!

I've been told that by everyone so I expect it to come true. So far I've had no issues. I have 8 of them in a with a group of 7 maculatus and there is plenty of chasing but nothing else. If things get to rowdy I have a few much larger options to keep them in. Time will tell.

Looks like you have far to many Lamena, you should send me about half. Hahaha, nice fish.

Thanks.

I got up Wed to find one of my lamena males was dead. A pair had formed and was destroying the other 6 of them. They had eggs but ate them at some point during the day when I was at work. I moved them to a 600g pond that has a ton of snails in hopes of them breeding in there or at least not killing each other. They at least have enough space to spread out the aggression now. They are one tough little fish I have some CA growouts in that pond and the lamena take no crap from them. The CA's actaull shy away from them.
