Okay, so today, I bought some tetras, 4 lamp eyed and 4 of some other (can't remember) but theyre red with black and white tips on fins to add some color to my tank with my tire track eel, I did a little more reading on the lamp eyed and now I'm worried about them nipping my eel's fins... Should I be worried? Eel is about 8 inches btw, tetras are 1"

red eyed tetra and serpae tetras are both semi-aggressive, nippy, especially when not in a school.
a school is 6+.
They'll be nippy.
Probably won't kill the eel, but may bite.

Seen a Petco tank with 20 serpae tetras in it, and they're all shaggy. Even with a big school, the serpaes try to kill each other lol.

Tire track eels do eat small fish. so the small fish do need to be semi-aggressive to stay alive. But perhaps more of them so you have 6+ each.
