I know these are peaceful fish but i just got 1 about 9" long from my lfs seems they grow to fast for what most people consider a large tank> i have him in a 150 now and he likes bashing and moving anything around. My question is whats the best thing to feed them unlike my ID sharks and white tipped columbians he dont seem at all interested in blood worms or brine shrimp or the shrimp pellets. I dont want him to starve and also how big will he get i plan on moving him to a larger tank with my IDs once they all clear 12"

mine will take just about anything, i would say just give it time to adjust to everything and then go from there. I would start but going a few days without feeding the tank and then try different things. Very few fish starve to death when food is offered.
