Anyone use the large resin landscaping rocks you can buy at Lowe's and Home Depot in their large freshwater aquariums? Not sure if they're inert, and unfortunately they're hollow which could possibly cause a deadly hydrogen sulfide buildup if there was no water circulation going through. I've been trying to find fake resin boulders that aren't hollow.

fill them with an inert resin. no hollow spots no problem.

It would take a lot of resin haha The landscaping rocks I'm looking at are 24" long, 18" wide and 13" tall. I guess I could fill with concrete, and seal the bottom with resin.

Put something inside to make it sink,. like large inert rocks. Then pick up a couple bottles of cheap pond foam made by "Great Stuff". It's a fun and fish safe product. I've been using it to install 3D backgrounds for years. I have a large quantity in my tanks right now. It fills voids easily but is very buoyant so you will need to weigh it down.
