actully i have noticed since he i have gotten him eatting hakari massivor pellets he has been alot more active and he goes to the top alot more and wondering around the tank more in the day time. but the last few days i have noticed that hes been going to the top for air alot in the past few days, alot more then normal.....should i be worried about this??? i put an bubbler in the tank for now and will be doing my bi-weekly water change this weekend.....

thanks

neal

how much is more than normal? Mine usually go 1 of 2 times per hour. But I have seen them go up as much as 5 of 6 times after meals. If your other fish are fine, I don't think you should be too worried

i wouldnt worry, i watched one at a LFS go up about every 5 minutes but it was very active

thanks for the input it was just outa the norm so i wasnt sure......and no i hadnt feed him i normally do that in the morning when the lights have been off all night and the others dont steal his food

Generaly the more active they are the they need to supplement their oxygen from the water with atmospheric O2-Anne

mine to they go up after a meal alot then some days 3 to for times in a houe and mine are 6yrs old .
