Hi' Guy's

My Lapradei's now just settled in ( had it nearly a week ) so managed to grab some pics, Can you tell if it's captive bred or wild caught and where it's from?
I've put a couple of pics below with a shot showing all my bichir';s living hapily together.

Also does it look thin to you? it's been eating alot since ive got it but still looks a little thin it was in the LFS for a few months before i got it .

It's a wild caught Nigerian lap. Nice bullet head lap too.

Smart not bad for £32 then it's not huge like only about 10inch tops id say:-)

Presume the bullet head just refers to it's thin head? the weeksii in the cave i believe is a 'fat head' one so got one of each now lol.

Is it likely to change colour as it gets older? it was pretty much white in the shop but id imagine that would of been the stress.

Nice lap:headbang2
Which lfs?anywhere i would know?

cheers steve

Little shop called furness aquatics, first one ive seen in there , i had to order my ornate through them as theres no where near i live (cumbria) that sells them, even had to do a 3 hour round trip for the senegal!

There are actually two type of nigerian lap's head. The one is a thinner shap I call bullet head and the other one is a bit wider which is more common in captivity and the first Nigerian lap to pop out in the wild.

Bullet head on the left wide head on the right.

How do you tell it's a WC lapradei?

And also, most LFS in my area sells lapradeis that looks just like this one, a "bullet head". Does that mean that they'll all turn out to look like something like your "bullet head"?
