lapradei getting black spots :(

i have had my lap for almost a month now. the last couple days i am noticing more and more black spots on both sides and tail!!! the spots seem to be discolored scales. no injuries seen. no change in behavoir. still eating and swimming normally.

so far nobody can tell me what they are or what to do

I'd be interested in answers on this one too... My Ans has some black spots but I haven't had her long enough to know if they're new or not.

I have 1 Lap, he is about 12".. he has a black dot toward the end of his tail area.. one on each side. Thats about it.

todays update:

this morning her overall base color had darkened up so the spots were blending in. however, she lightened back up to the original photos as the day passed. i wonder if she is sensitive to the light right now? i will leave the lights out for a couple days and see what happens.

Google black spot disease, chances are it's a parasitic and easy enough to treat from what I've read.
