I thought poly's were common in singapore? The rarity of bichirs varies heavily between all locations.

Here in socal, we have a lot of enthusiasts and LFS's close together, so they're pretty common, but just one or two states away, they're never seen, or even if you go north in cali, I doubt you'll find any.

Of course, you could always order online, so what does that mean for rarity?

anyone know how rare laps are.
many of you guys have some, but i have never seen them here in singapore.

Bro, you really never travel to any LFS around Singapore? You can still see 1 at Yishun 932, 4 at Bedok Darwin Aquarium. There was a recent shipment of Lap, Weeksii, Retro, Moke, congicus and Del to many LFs here. However most are grab up by bichir Fans here. :)

i meant rare here in sg...
yea,i know many bichir species are very very common here in sg...
but i never saw laps.
haha, yea bichir enthusiasts grab em all. :D

If you are looking for 4 inch Lap, you can never find them in Singapore as most are wild caught. Clementi Blk 328 has 4 6-8 inch laps stuck in their stocks last time the stocks came in, but now it has been brought by someone else. You can go arofanatics to ask if any lap has been sighted recently as it is more Singapore based. :) Clement Florist and Aquarium and Polyart Aquarium are 2 good shops you can go if you stay in ulu pandan area.
Hope this helps.

yea.
those shops at clementi are the ones i go to regularly for fish food and fish and whatever.
i didnt see any laps there?
maybe they were hidden or something. :(
i dunno.
6 inches should be fine.
i know most are wild caught.
aah...
just have to keep trying i guess.
i also go to serangoon ave 1 btw. :)
