this is a quarantine tank, and lapradei is in there for a week already

there are laps, endlis and ropes. they're wild caught. they act and eat normal.

this one eats more than anyone, but whats wrong with his belly??
is that food or air?
he needs a very long time to digest the food, if he does at all

I fed them with chicken meat rolled into Panacur powder, to get rid of internal parasites. And there are worms in their excrement. White worms from 3mm to 3cm, and some small thin 5mm worms with one black claw on their heads.

what can I do for my lap??
I got him out of the tank to touch and massage the place, his belly is mostly soft, with little particles of food. no redness present

please help

follow the directions on the pancur and continue de worming

my new fish are almost all dead. i poisoned them with Panacur. never use that crap. it is for dogs, not for the fish.

from now on I wont use any meds in a quarantine tank - AT ALL,l unless, i see an aparent illness. i believe worms would get out eventually, after few months of feeding. after all, worms live inside our polypterids and dont kill them, they just live there?

1 big endli is still alive and 1 rope fish. they joined my original tank a week ago. rope is fine, shes got new friends now, but endli doesnt eat, but at leat he is still alive. i just hope he will get better.

i bought 4 more ropes, and 1 more lapradei. from the same place. they're all in original tank, they eat and act excellent.

by the way heres a pic of my tank.

250 l
