I have a 550 gallon tank. I have a dozen red hook silver dollars and some plecos. At this point I need to add the cichlids. Outside the pike crenchila I will have central American fish. What do you think of these fish. I only want one of each genus Citrinellum, a petenia splendida snook, nandopsis grammodes or tetracanthus cuban, false red terror ex cichlasoma uropthalmus, one from parachromis friedrichsthalii,Loisellei, managensis, motaguensis. And a vieja zontas, melanura or argenteus.

I say post pics of this tank. Sounds awesome. Can't really comment on the stock since I've only kept managuense out of the CAs you listed. SDs will be a good dither. I like the color variations of the viejas myself.

some of those you listed could work,i would start small, let them grow out together.what are the tank dimensions? wish i had the"what to stock in my massive tank" problem! try the melanurus, freddie, snook, false red terror.the others you listed i feel are ramped up aggression-wise.if you add some others to your possibles:bocourti, carpintis, pearsei.maybe 7-10 cichlids?

It's sounds pretty good but I would swap the Midas out for a lyonsi and probably ditch the Cuban/beani idea. Choose either the Freddy or loiselli for the Parachromis and then just watch closely. Maybe add a bocourrti or pearsi in place of the Cuban/beani. It sounds like a really cool tank so keep us updated and good luck!

it could work, but with the 12 red hooks it might get a little crowded. my personal experience with the jag with other large cichlids, they are territorial but not super aggressive like amphilophus so could definitely work

If I were you id have cichlids, cichla and a silver arowana haha
