large african cichlids or other fish to reccomend

Can anyone reccomend any large african cichlids comparable to Frontosa ? are there any more akaline water fish ?

Fossorochromis rostratus is a fabulous large, purple and blue cichlid, but very active, so you need a at least a 6' tank, might be a bit too active to house with frontosa.
Lepidiolamprologus elongatus, a little less active and would probably work with frontosa.

Frontosa are very timid, slow moving fish, best kept in a group by themselves.
