large aquariums stand heights?

What is a good starting height for an aquarium stand for optimal veiwing pleasure? I have a 30in tall steel stand for a tank thats is 44in tall, but its still seems like it going to be on the low end for veiwing. Great when sitting down lookin at the tank but what about standing. Or maybe the better question is, anyone with a tank larger than 500 gallons, how tall is your stand?

You want to make sure it isn't too high that you can't reach the bottom when cleaning. It stinks when you have to use a step ladder all the time for cleaning.

I have an 8X3X3 tank on a 33 in tall stand.

I think your 30 inch stand will be perfect for you 44 in tall tank. It will not seem like it is sitting on the floor. The tallest, I believe, that you'd want to go is 36 in on the stand.

normally stands are around the 30" mark..

My 180 and 220 are 36" tall stands and i'm 6'2" and can see straight in.....if that gives you an ideal of how high.

24" stand, 48" tank. Our tank will be an inwall tank in a room with 8' ceiling. We'll be building a platform behind the tank so we can access the top of the tank.
