Large BGK with smaller bichirs?

I did a lot of searching in the older threads to find an answer before posting this, its now almost 2am, and I have my two lil ones getting up in four hours, so I have decided to ask.

I might be getting a 12''-14'' BGK, and was wondering if there is any risk of him eating my bichirs? They are all around 6-9'', and this may seem like a stupid question, but I have no idea how big they can open their mouths and such.

Any help would be awesome!

It should be safe for the most part, but I'd be worried if the Knife was 14" and the Bichir was 6"

i think they will be fine how thick are the bichirs thats a big part of it.

Had a 12 inch BGK with two 6-8 inch senegals without any problems.

I thought it would be ok, just wanted to be 100% sure. Well, I guess I won't be sure til they are living together and no one goes missing lol I found one for $20 at that size and just couldn't let it get away...Hopefully I was the 1st to respond to the listing Thanks for the help

a 6inch bichir should have some girth, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Good job on the find. Petsmart charges that much for 3 inchers. You better post pics!
