Hello everybody! First post.
I have two large (7-9") bichirs and a clown knife fish. Ive had one of the bichirs (senegalise) since it was tiny and over the last few years he has been responsible for about £100 worth of tank fatalitys. The other Birchir is more ornate, not really sure what type it is. Ive got a 3ft x 2ft tank. They all get on well enough but its all looking a little sparse. I would like some new birchirs. I got a small albino recently that lasted about a month before one of the bigger ones decided to eat it. Does anybody know of anywhere online or in East Anglia, UK that i can get reasonable priced reasonably large Polypterus. I would espesially like an unswallowable albino.

Thanks.

Ditch the CK if you want another bichir... Even then it seems kinda small. But the CK will get 30+ inches anyway so better to make the decision now than when its too late.

Yeah, I know the clown is going to become a problem. Not sure what to do with it. He's ok for now 6" and from what I've observed, the bichirs are more of a threat to him than the other way around. My friend was moving house and was talking about flushing it so I took it off his hands about 6 months ago.
The are not crammed in together, they dont look uncomfortable.
Im not sure what to do, ive grown quite attached to the bichirs, i havnt got room for another tank but i'd like a more active setup.

Cherry Lane (southview) garden center on the beccles road from Yarmouth has a good sized Poly, and is generally just full of Monsters atm. You do need a larger tank tho!

your tank is way to small... Get rid of the ck..

Thanks everybody. I'll do some reading up on cichlids, i thought they needed a different type of water.

My tank isn't huge, but everything has plenty of room around it. Nothing appears uncomfortable. Its no excuse, but you should have seen the shop tank that i brought my biggest birchir from, he couldnt even straighten himself out.
When my clown knife becomes a problem, he'll be moved on somehow. He's only grown about half an inch in the 6 months that i've had him, so i think im able to enjoy him for a little while longer. Its a very handsome fish.

Thanks Satans Goldfish, I'll check Cherry lane out when i get a chance. Oh and I'm about 5 mins from Norwich city centre.
