So i changed up my aquascaping again, decided to use mostly large boulder type rocks (will add more once i deem it safe).

my question is, since the heavy boulders aren't sitting on any substrate or eggcrate, should i be worried about the pressure its putting on the bare bottom of the tank?

Looks like sand to me. Firstly, if a rock is sitting on a small point, lots of pressure is resting on a small area of tank bottom. If this point of the rock was to be dropped from X height, it could most likely crack the base. If you chose to, you could place egg crate down and cover it with sand, then put rocks on.

thats a good idea since i'm planning on putting more big ones to fill out the back of the tank...

and i know it looks like sand but it isn't, the acrylic tank i bought came w/ sand-like material on the bottom.
