large bubble disk

Can someone tell me what good these bubble disk are good for.I think they make my dovii tank look better,but is there any benefits from this thing.

Adding air period? Or a disk as apposed to a stone or bubble-wand?

A Bubble disk does the same exact job as any other air stone, just in a decorative sense. All they do is create surface agitation which allows for an increase in the disolved oxygen level. If you have a HOB and or a decent canister, you do not need one but they are a life saver come power outages.
