my 16''+ CK has gone on a hunger strike for about a week now. he has always been a good eater until now. should i be worried, hes not loosing weight yet. I'm feeding shrimp, scallop, basa, and smelt but hes not interested.
water parameter are; 0 nitrite, 0 ammonia, nitrates under 10ppm, ph is 7.4 and hes by himself in a 90 gal.
Cheers
Jordan

Nothing to worry about after a week, but have you tried live feeders?

i'd say give him a month.

do a water change and give him a month

Personally, I don't use feeders as well. However, if a fish shows no interest in food, it might need something to trigger it's predatory instinct to strike.

my 2 footer went for more than 6 months without food. then, one day, it started again.

i'm really not that worried about the fish, he'll be fine. I'm really starting to get sick of offering him food just to have to siphon it out the next morn, seems like such a waste. i think i'll let him fast for a few more days then i'll offer some guppies.
