The heaters below lay on the bottom of the pond. They have a rubber protective 'bumper' around it at the top and bottom so the heater doesn't touch the bottom or sides of the pond. They are safe to use in preformed plastic ponds or ponds made out of pond liner. Must be kept submerged while plugged in. Controller MUST be protected from the elements and from water getting in to it.
*Tip: It takes 1000 watts of heater to heat 250 gallons of water 10°F.

How old is this heater and controller, what was it originally used for, and in what environment was it kept? Also, given the forum requires that you state a desired price, how much do you want for it? thnks
it was used in both salt and fresh water for about a yr and then stored indoors-works perfect nothing wrong with it as far as price =new there about $450-so if u want a number on it ill say $300-but taking offers
