I'm looking into setting up a larger cylinder reef tank. I would like at least a 2-3 diameter and 3-4ft tall cylinder piece of acrylic but I can't really find anyplace that sells them so anyone know where I could find one? I'm sure as hell not spending 5k on a 75gal prebuilt one...

so no one on this site has built a cylinder tank yet??

I've honestly only seen the prebuilts but let me ask my friend who was an aquarist at the Dallas aquarium. He may know since he's done jellyfish. I'll post back in a little bit to let you know!

Alright he says it's just a matter of finding a good cylinder and attaching a bottom plate but the finding is the hard part. Just something you have to stumble across. He didn't know where to find one on a regular basis. I actually have a really big cylinder sitting behind my shop right now. It's acrilyc. I bet the owner would sell it to you but I'm in Indianapolis sooo. But yeah it's just a matter of FINDING the cylinder itself so I guess I'm no real help to you.

If it's a good size cylinder and the owner would sell I'd prob drive to go pick it up

I'll measure it exactly and ask the owner about it. Guessing its about 3/4in thick, 2ft diameter and about 6ft tall. You could make two tanks! lol I'll let you know though.

I saw a giant 5600 Gallon saltwater reef tank at this Surf Shop in Port Canavral Flroidia on a cruise I was on three days ago. It was a monster shark tank and it had a diver inside feeding the sharks and other fish. It was at least seven to eight feet tall and over 12 feet across.
