Hi
Not sure where I should be posting this. Does anyone has any vendor or contact who will sell, deliver and setup large fish tank in NYC?

I am looking a 350 Acrylic tank 96x36x24 with stand and 90 gallon sump.

I am looking for someone to order the tank, deliver and bring everything inside the house and set up the plumbing.

I tried couple folks I found online but have not hear back, was someone who has use some kind of service like this.

Thanks

Thank you! Will give them a call.

Can I ask if you or someone you know use them before?

If you do have someone else come in and set up your new tank for you...and I must say this sounds about as satisfying as having someone else eat a nice meal for you :)...I think you would be well-advised to watch them like a hawk and ask as many questions as required for you to understand the hows and the whys of the procedure. There are invariably minor adjustments and tweaks to be performed throughout the life of a new tank, especially in the first few days and weeks. You will be happier in the long run if you can tackle them yourself. Good luck and enjoy!

I am capable of setup and doing the plumbing myself. I did all my other tanks myself just not this big. If they are willing to just deliver everything and i do the setup myself. I will actually prefer that, just not sure if they will feel the job too small to take.

My issue is living in the city, I have no space to receive the tank except directly into the house. So I don’t want to deal with ordering the tank, checking the tank for damage and returning it. I also don’t have the means to get the tank into the house, too heavy. Getting mover to do it will be hard to coordinate the timing.

So what I am truly looking for is someone ordering, delivering and moving the tank into the house and be responsible to return the tank if it’s damage.

Hope that make sense.

Thanks

Perfect sense, thanks for explaining. My apologies; I took the original post to mean that you wanted a complete turnkey operation that required no knowledge on your part, thus requiring someone to assemble it for you.

You're so right. Knowing how to do it is only part of the problem when you deal with something on this scale. The logistics of just getting it into the house and into position can be formidable all by themselves. I hope you keep this thread updated; again, good luck!

No problem at all, I have been trying to get this done for the past month and half. It’s harder than I expected. I spoke with two Aquariums service companies and never heard back after I gave them the specs.

I asked couple of local Aquarium shops and they don’t deal with tanks this big.

Also not a lot of used one I can just get from other fish keeper in NYC that I can just send mover to go pickup.

I am so jealous of SoCal, all those tanks that I would have no taking off their hand. ?
