Wondering if anyone can steer me in the right direction for a high flow pump that can handle allot of head height...

Since I have little to no space under the tank I will be running my wet/dry from the basement where there is allot of room...

Looking for a pump that can handle 3,000+ gallons per hour @ approx. 16' head height...

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

That kinda flow at that head is NOT going to be cheap to buy and even more to run......

Check Aquaticecosystems.com I'm sure they'll have something that fits your criteria.

Hayward Super pump or Max-flo pump. High flow. I think it was 50 gal/min @ 20'. I use one, it's noisy and expensive to run, but cost only around $200.

edit: Plus, if you need a part, or if the the motor ever dies, you can probably get it locally. These are pool pumps.

Thank you for the help and suggestions...

This is in no way the most economical solution but considering my lack of space it might be my best option...

Any details on how much it does cost to run? An extra $xx.xx per month on the power bill?

Here it's about $30 - $50/ month. But, my area has the highest electric rates in the country.

ReeFlo has some of the most efficient high head - high flow pumps on the market. And their customer service is second to none.

Electricity rates vary a lot from place to place. The average cost in the U.S. is $0.11 per KW/hour.

The hammerhead pump from ReeFlo pumps 3,600 GPH at 16.8' and draws 345 watts.

345x24x30=248,400 watts or 248.4 KW/hours per month.

248.4x.11=$27.32/month

Check your power bill to see what rates are like where you are.
