is it possable to get bigger than 300w heaters.im using 3 at mo for 1300 odd litres and want to go for larger set up of about 2600 litres or is it a case of useing 6 300watt ones ..any ideas thanks....
yes it is just use any online store or google 1000 watt aquarium heaters. Largest I have ever seen in a regular pet store is 300, but can get all sorts of ones online. Usually larger ones will have a controller seperate from the tube, so if you buy online make sure you are getting both parts !
what your looking for is titanium koi pond heaters - most aquatics dont cater for these as they are not standard... i picked up a 1kw (1000 watt) for 69.99 from ebay
ive seen in a madienhead aquatics catalog , they are like sump heaters that have big fins on them that cover a large under water surface area ,fan shaped purfect for big sump heaters. but cant find them on the internet any ideas anyone...ta
try searching for finnex, won brothers or pro heat.
all 3 of those manufacturures make large titanium heaters, and im pretty sure you could find them made for 220v if your over the pond
titanium heaters work much much better than glass. the titanium gets alot hotter than regular glass heaters, and stays much hotter for a longer time period, heating the water much easier IMO.
