I know some Cichlids make pits but to this extent idk can someone explain this

I have had Red Devils that moved almost all of the gravel to one side of the tank.

The only cichlids I have are are 2 red head geos and a uaru

If you are saying you're unsure of which one of them is doing the digging then my money is on the geos.

and why are they digging

It is a parental/spawning instinct and you may or may not even have a male and female pair.Some cichlids,like my red devils do it without the presence of a mate in the tank.

Some cichlid dig for entertainment lol but some dig pits to spawn.

Yup, totally normal. My pikes have cleaned all the sand out from under their log, now it is barebottom under there and there are piles of sand around it. Most cichlids I have kept, have dug holes to some degree. Some get more of a kick out of it than others.
