Hi guys,
What would u guys suggest for a large, easy to grow outside growing plant that can absorb a lot of nitrates? I live in San Jose,CA and sometimes, it can get pretty cold in the winter. Plants that can stand the cold in the winter would be the best because i dont want to deal with moving it. I have a main pond and then a smaller pond where the water will go through and then be pumped back to the main. I will be putting the plants in the smaller one where there are no fish, just plants. Thank you very much.

Anacharis, Hornwort, Red Tiger Lotus etc, are some pond plants I know of. Though I do not know what their temp tolerance is off the top of my head.

egytian papyrus, cattails, umbrella plant, taro black magic, any sort of lilly or spatterdock, definately anacharis the koi and goldfish will love it! and lotus plants
