Does anyone have any tips for me I have a good spot behind
My house but it's a little early and there Not there I'm using crank baits any ideas on how I could catch some out of the rancocas creek

Try throwing a frog lure in the clearest parts of the creek

I have had terrible luck with the no snag frog lure... Soft kind with hooks upwards, I missed 3 bass on it. Im a newbie to them however

I like to use rubber worms rigged texas style, large 1/0 or 2/0 worm hook. Kept it good and sharp. Add small weight if its windy.let it sink, then jig it.stop and go as you reel back in

The frog I use is called a sexy frog I think. I've had luck with divers too.

Thanks everyone I caught my first LMB on Friday he was about 20 inches i used a 3 inch crank bait I also some how caught a gaint blue catfish on the same lure what are some natural prey they eat in nj I'm going to get more crank baits soon

Catfish are unreliable. If the conditions are right, and they're hungry they'll take anything. And then sometimes you can drag bait across their face and they won't take it.

I went to this lake off rt 130 and there are bass nests left and right I jigged a crank bait right by them sadly they either looked at it but didn't take it or just ignored it
