Hello all,

I had this Large Mouth Bass for about 1 year. It had grown from a 3" to about 13" now. Grew pretty fast. I had it at 80 degrees and feed it everyday with minnows.

I notice that as it grows, it's head is bumpy and looks rough. I don't recall seeing this on bass I catch at the river / lakes.

Is this bumpy and rough area due to stress?

nah. It staying with me for life. I don't think it wants to leave either since I give it all the food it can get versus they have to hunt their food.

I will try to get some pictures of it's head and the rough patches.

I think sooner or later I have to dig out a pond for it. :nilly:

maybe some form of hole in head or constant bumping into tank sin-drum lol

Nah. It don't look like that. Instead of holes, it's outward like warts. haha :D

I would definitely give it more variety in the food department. Definitely get that guy on pellets. In the meantime though, crayfish, crickets, earthworms, superworms are all great alternatives to just minnows.
