So I caught a large mouth bass, it's about 4 inches and currently in a 20 gallon till it can be re-homed. I just want to know basic info about keeping bass: appetite, size, aquarium requirements, aggression, and anything else people can provide as info. Also I would like to know if, since its wild caught, I can still feed it minnow from the creek behind my house.

The last thing I would like to know ( but am pretty sure I know the answer to) s if it can ever be released to the wild again if it gets too big. I'm pretty sure the answer to that is no, due to the change in diet and aquarium born sicknesses. but I'm just curious.

You should never return or introduce a into the wild, for the reasons you stated, LMBs get up to 30+inches and need a large tank or small pond (400 gallons min. when fully grown), most lmbs prefer placid water conditions and warmer water than trout or Smallmouth bass would enjoy; tankmates would be channel or white catfish, freshwater drum, spotted/florida/shortnose gar, chain pickerel, shovelnose sturgeon, buffaloe fish, spotted Bass, and common or mirror carp.

LMBs are very aggressive fish. Small tankmates are going to get eaten while larger ones are going to get bullied and stressed.

Dude really it's a large mouth bass you need a huge tank for that guy plus large filtration it's a game fish it's gone to produce lots of waste and will attack most tank mates any if you reintroduce it to the wild it can bring bacteria. And other unwanted disease into the wild that its not use to
