I have owned my 12"+ Oscar for more than 4 years now. He has done well and is very large!!
Just recently in the past week or so he has developed a strange patch of black coloration on just one side of his body. This has never been there before and I worry it may be something like Myxobacteriosis. But i'm not sure still. He eats, although he has his days of not wanting to eat (suppose that's normal) he gets water changes 2-3 times a week at from 30-50% and his filter is a "Cascade" brand rated for aquariums of up to 100 gallons. He lives with no other fish.
If any of you have a clue as to what the sudden black patch on his left side is please let me know. The black coloration seems to be spreading quite rapidly.
