Will a large pbass eat, hurt or kill a ray? I will be in NJ next week and I would like to add 2 pbass to my tank there. The rays are all 10-12" and I was thinking maybe a pbass about 12-16".

I asked the same ? where r u from in NJ

I'm from Hawaii. I have a tank there in Weehawken, NJ at my inlaws house. Since I am unable to keep them in Hawaii, and I fly over every month. I got some to enjoy there. Plus my bro-inlaw loves fish and keeps very good care of them when I am away.

That's a big trip to be taking to see fish, haha. They should be ok together.

just be sure the ray gets enuf to eat

yeah it would be okay. i had my peckok bass with my stingray for 4weeks nothing ever happen my peackok was more scared of my stingray half the time.

I don't think a Pbass would try to eat a ray, and wouldn't make that mistake twice.

I kept large rays wth large pbass. They were actually a good fit.

Trick is getting the rays enough food. What I did to combat that was to put the pbass in another tank and train them on smelts for food. The Rays I trained on shrimp. Basically put the pbass hit the smelts and would let the shrimp go to the bottom for food.

Pbass are incredibly finicky eaters so there is little chance they will stray from what they are given usually.
