Hey there...I'm new to these forums but they seem great. I've been doing research on the side to see if all this would work out but don't still have 100% answers yet so don't be hatin' please, hahhaa. I'm looking for advice...In the near future I'm looking to have a large freshwater predator tank..something that will obviously fit all of these fish(400 gallons or more)...But in the tank I am looking to have 3-4 Spotted Gars, 3-4 Clown Knives, one or maybe two freshwater rays...and maybe 4 or so Vampire Fish...which the main answer I can't find the information I'm looking for is how Vampire Fish deal with these other fish.....I would plan on having them all meet up in this tank more fuller grown...not like something where one of these fish will be much larger than another at all and eat all the others...Please give any advice or suggestions along with other fish that would get along fine in this tank...Thanks a lot..Like I said...I'm looking for some more solid answers and open to any interpretation...Thank You.....

Which of those fishes is your #1 priority for the aquarium? I'd base the stocking around that species of fish in order to keep you and the fishes happy.

I'd have to say the mainnnn fish in the aquarium would be the 3-4 spotted gars....

Alright, then I'd recommend that you head on over to this thread to check out some potential tankmates for them. I can tell you that the vampire fish (payara/armatus?) will not mix well with the gars, though.
