I purchased a Quiet One 9000 pump and discovered that the word quiet does not really apply to this pump. This pump is going back and need to either replace it with the same pump (hoping I got a bad one) or a different pump altogether. Does anyone elase have a QO 9000 that is actually quiet? Is there another single pump or 2 pumps that I could replace this pump with and still get the 2000gph that I am looking for? I need to decide this by tonight and I really want a quiet pump.

I just got a Supreme Hy-drive 4800 and I can barely hear it even pushing over 4000gph and its energy efficient too. I like the mag drive pumps I'll never buy a different brand of submersable pumps

I plan on using the pump in a sump, what kind of water depth do you need? I looked at those and am considering the 4000.

I've had the Mag 24, Mag 18 and Mag 12... the 24 was just as quiet as the 12...

They all functioned nearly silent unless/until they got sand in them... Putting off cleanign the impeller put wear on them and this wear makes them noisy...

I've never personally owned a Quiet One...

I keep my sump 10-12" deep Dont forget if you run your sump shallow you can always put a 90 degree elbow on the intake so it doesn's suck air
