So I've been reading up on Pacific Giant Salamanders and these seam almost exactly what I've been looking for, for a while: A large (Around 12"), semi-aquatic, lizard, snake, or lizard-like critter.

Does anyone know of any others that fit that description and are decently available for purchase?

And does anyone know where I can find these salamanders, or similar critters for sale?

Wouldn't a tiger salamander work? We have them all over here and I've seen some huge ones, that would be real close to a foot long... Don't you have them in Minnesota, too?

Kevin Flemings Mom has one in a fully aquatic tank, not even one of those turtle docks in there.

Please don't try it. If a creature is not aquatic, you don't simply toss it into the water and expect it to survive.

Kevin's mum probably has a specimen under extraordinary circumstances; not for every darn salamander.

OP, you might want to head over to caudata; I believe they know much more about its availability then we do here.
