Large Senegalus question

Someone is selling a 12" Senegalus. While I doubt he is actually 12" he is still pretty big. I'm ready to jump on this but my concern is that I have small clown loaches in the tank. How likely would a large Senegalus be to wipe out my small clowns (it would be fed once a day)? Would the clowns defense be enough to keep him from having a meal?

I'd say Pretty good chance i stuck a catfish in my tank an my birchir latched on to its tail an long story short the cat died.

All under 3", some under 2".

He said he's never fed it live food so it might leave them alone unless starving?

i would say the loaches under 2" would be in trouble and it might try to eat the larger ones as well

i have an adult large senegalus with a clown loach that is 2.5-3 inches with no problems

When my senegal was 7.5", he ate a 2.5" clown loach.
Clown loaches are completely immobile and sleep on the floor at night. They look like dead carcass. Hard for a scavenging fish to tell.
