freshwater sharks for the most part are Charicins, Cyprids, or Catfish: Black sharks get up to 3ft. and they get there FAST, Iridescent sharks 3ft.+, Cigars I think get 18in.+, Paroon sharks 4ft.+, etc......

I RARELY see sharks under a foot

most sharks pet stores sell here are Bala or Rainbow sharks those only get to foot er so, pet stores here have never seen a Cigar shark since I bought mine from them....ya most are usually catfish here aswell

I have a 2 foot Indonesian bamboo shark that I have had for a few years now. She has laid 32 eggs but no male to fertilize them. She is tough. No one can answer questions because they say they have never heard of this in captivity. She is in a 180 gallon and if she hits a growing spurt I am in trouble. The small striped one must have been a male, sadly he didn't make it. I hatched him from a purse, that is when she started laying eggs. It was a challenge to keep her from eating him.
