I've looked at several people's large tanks and I love them. I'm looking to get my first "big tank" at 300+ gallons (planning either a 96x30x30 or 120x30x30). I'm also planning to redo the floors in the room that will house this aquarium as well as 2 others.

I'm removing the carpet and wanted to go with porcelain tile (16x16 to 20x20 in size)

Any suggestions beyond placing the tank on the concrete base and tiling around it? I really want to tile the entire floor and put the tanks on top, but I'm very hesitant.

I also in the process of redoing my basement. My buddy who remodels homes said that I would put my tanks on ceramic tile as long as it is laid right because once it is on there you will not be moving it.
