Just curious, making a larger ply tank, length and heigh wise, if everything is braced, and you have 2 veiwing panels of glass, do they need to be the same thickness if it was 1 veiwing panel or the thickness of the window size as a smaller aquarium?

I'll be interested to see the answer to this as well. I have had the same question.

The only relevant data needed is depth of the water that the glass sees (for pressure), and the width of the glass (due to flexing). So if your 2 viewing panels are side by side they MIGHT get bumped down to 1 size thinner (width is a minor variable, so it'll depend how you round and what glass sizes are availabe).

If you wanted to do 2 viewing panels top and bottom, the top one could be thinner than the bottom one for sure though :)
