as the title says it, i suspect that my 7 inch red wolf fish is swallowing brown tank gravel in porpuse or by accident. Yesterday night, i herd my tank "rumbling of gravel crashing against my tank. I reizeds that it was my wolf swimming "franticly' in my tank" It only happens for a few seconds. I saw that my fish was moving his mouth, suspitiously like he is chewing or swallowing something. After a moment i saw gravel coming out of his mouth (I think so). i was a few metres away from my tank to see the details of it being gravel or leftover food that i fed him yesterday (unlikely). The next thing i know it, my wolf is chasing around a sunken FLOATING pellet from yesteray. Was this because He spat his dinner from yesterday out because he was choking on gravel? Also, my wolf has a tiny slightly fat stomach that i never remember of (i only only feed my fish one fourth of a shring and sometime 2 cichlid pellets to him per day). also for a few seconds, I saw my fish's gill move rapidly like something was wrong. Was it the choking. Should i remove the gravel? Or is it just a strange coinincidence. the previous owner of my wolf also had gravel on the bottom of his tank. could it be that wolf fish are messy eaters ( iknow they are) and they mistakenly eat a gravel or is it because he was hungrey. need answers quick!!!!
