well i got inpatient so i went down to see if could get some crayfish from the store but they didnt have any so i got some minnows instead. well i thru a half dead one in my tank and you could see my largemouth tritched...he knew there was something in there...so i put a new more alive one in and it swam around he chased it and backed off then it came around again he sucked er in! finally he ate! :headbang2

Feeding in largemouth Bass is built in as well as what triggers them to feed, sometimes they strike out of anger, if something buzzes thru their territory, sometimes simply out of the natural instinct to feed. I would on occasion cripple a minnow amd introduce that to the tank, the eratic, injured minnow will most usually trigger the attack mode in Bass.

my largemouth is feeding regularly now. as soon as put the minnows in the water he chases them with the rockbass...kinda cool to see a 14" lmb rushing around in my tank!
he's only interested in food over 3"
